Beautiful woodblock print "Ame no Ushibori" (Rain at Ushibori) is by Hasui Kawase (1883-1957).  First printed in 1929 originally by Kawaguchi & Sakai; this is a later printing by Shobisha from original blocks. Shobisha obtained the original blocks in about 1950. Signed  Hasui with red artist seal "sui" on the lower right corner of the image. The bottom margin contains the title "Ame no Ushibori" and "Showa 4 nen 11 gatsu saku"(printed in November 1930) in Japanese.  Very wonderful "bokashi" shading through print with finely carved details. Very serene rainy image of Ushibori in Ibaraki.
