"Banshu no ike" (Pond in Late Autumn) is by Koson (Shoson) Ohara (1877 - 1945) Very sophisticated and genteel image. Outstanding condition. Published by Watanabe with 6 mm Watanabe Seal. It is said 6 mm Watanabe seals were used in 1946-1957. Wonderful details. Very soft romantic colors beautiful and delicate. This is one of the few dated designs by Shoson (in this print "Showa 6 nen saku "[Printed in 1931]) Ohara real name was Ohara Matao, he use art name Koson Ohara till 1912 when he change to Shoson Ohara. He use Shoson Ohara on all prints published by Watanabe. He is the undisputed master of the world of nature prints.

Condition: Outstanding condition. A drying hole in top left margin which is typical this period of printing. Tape residue on the top edge of verso a little bit as shown
