The tasteful woodblock print "Gohonmatsu Ugetsu" (Moonlight in rain across the bank of "Five Pine-Trees") is by Kiyochika Kobayashi (1847-1915).  This is a re-carved edition. Originally printed in 1880. This print was published by Maria Shobo in 1976.  Signed on the lower right of the image.  Title on the bottom margin,  date "Meiji 13 nen"(1880), Original Publisher name "Kumajiro Fukuda" and Artist name "Kiyochika Kobayashi" on the right margin. The moonlight comes through the clouds, and the silhouette of the big pine tree is especially impressive. The reflection of the lights on the water adds a heartwarming atmosphere.

Paper size: 14 inches by 9 and 1/2 inches (35.5 x 23.7 cm)
Image size: 12 and 3/4 inches by 8 and 1/4 inches (32.3 x 20.8 cm)
Condition: Pristine Condition. Minor ink smudge on the margin which will be easily matted out. Once tipped on the top of verso.
