The beautiful woodblock print 'To-ji' (To-ji Temple, Kyoto) from the "100 Scenes of Kyoto" series captures a delightful autumn image of Kyoto. The publisher's name "Kan-ei-do" with a red publisher's seal, the carver's name "Shoichi Kitamura," and the printer's name "Osanu Harada" are on the left margin. Toji Temple, also known as Kyoo-gokoku-ji, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most iconic landmarks in Kyoto. This woodblock print beautifully depicts the temple's five-story pagoda, surrounded by lush greenery and colored leaves. The paper lantern of To-ji is very eye-catching.
