The lovely woodblock print 'Sakura' is by Kan Kozaki (b. 1942) and is printed on delicate and tasteful Japanese washi paper. The image depicts a woman surrounded by scattering cherry blossom petals, capturing the ephemeral beauty of the blossoms. The image part has very slight pink tint
Accompanied by a haiku by Santoka Taneda, a revered poet of the early 20th century, the print further conveys the transient nature of life and the sense of wanderlust evoked by the cherry blossoms. The haiku, "The cherry blossoms bloomed, and I am a traveler," poignantly reflects on the fleeting nature of the blossoms and life itself.
